Terms of Service

1. The agreement

These terms are between you and Unfollow Finder, covering your use of unfollowfinder.com and everything on it. By creating an account or using the tool, you accept them.

If you don't agree with something here, please don't use the service. Our privacy policy forms part of these terms.

2. What we provide

Unfollow Finder reads two files from the data export Instagram gives you: followers_1.json and following.json and compares them.

• Free: the comparison runs in your browser. It shows who doesn't follow you back, who follows you that you don't follow back, and your mutuals.
• Pro: we store the usernames from each scan so the next one can be compared against it, which is what makes unfollow detection possible.

We never ask for your Instagram password and never connect to your Instagram account.

3. Your account

• You need to be at least 13 to create an account
• Give us an email address you actually control
• Keep your password to yourself you're responsible for what happens under your account
• Tell us if you think someone else has got into it
• One person, one account. Don't share logins.

4. Acceptable use

Please don't:

• Upload data belonging to someone else without their permission
• Try to break, overload, or reverse-engineer the service
• Scrape it, or run it through scripts or bots
• Resell access, or pass your account to others
• Use it to harass anyone or to build a profile of another person
• Get around plan limits by making extra accounts

We can suspend an account that does any of this, without a refund.

5. Plans and billing

Payments are handled by Whop, who act as merchant of record. Your card details go to them, never to us. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax your country adds.

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. We'll give you notice by email before changing the price of an existing subscription.

6. Free trial

Paid plans start with a 7-day trial. Your card is charged on day 8 unless you cancel before then. One trial per person creating a second account to get another isn't allowed.

7. Cancelling

Cancel whenever you like, from your account settings or through Whop. There's no fee and no notice period.

You keep Pro access until the end of the period you've already paid for. After that your account drops to Free, unfollow tracking stops, and your stored scans are removed on our normal 10-scan rotation. You can delete everything yourself at any point from your dashboard.

8. Refunds

The free trial exists so you can decide before paying, so we don't refund as a matter of course once a period has been charged.

That said, if the service didn't work as described, or you were charged by mistake, tell us we'd rather sort it out than argue. Refunds are processed by Whop.

9. About accuracy

The comparison itself is exact: if a username is in one file and not the other, we report it correctly.

Your export is also a snapshot from the moment Instagram generated it, which can be hours before you upload it. We provide the tool as it is and don't guarantee that every result reflects a deliberate unfollow.

10. We're not Instagram

Unfollow Finder is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to Instagram or Meta in any way. We don't use their API and we never log into your account. We only read a file that Instagram gives you and that you choose to upload.

Your own use of Instagram remains governed by their terms, not ours.

11. Ownership

The site, its code, design, and written content belong to us. Please don't copy them for your own product.

Your data stays yours. Uploading a file gives us permission to process it so the service can work, and nothing more we don't claim ownership and we don't use it for anything else.

12. Availability

We aim to keep the service running but can't promise it will never go down. Maintenance, outages, and problems at our hosting or database providers can all interrupt it.

If a paid plan is unavailable for an extended stretch, get in touch and we'll sort out a credit.

13. Liability

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for indirect or consequential loss including lost followers, lost income, or decisions you made based on our results.

Where we are liable, that liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing here limits liability for anything that can't legally be limited.

14. Termination

You can close your account at any time by contacting us.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, is used fraudulently, or where we're required to by law. If we close your account without cause, we'll refund the unused part of your current period.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version. For changes that materially affect you pricing, or what a plan includes we'll email you before they take effect.

Carrying on using the service after a change means you accept it.
